Objectives: To combine yield maps and topographic maps to
quantify yield losses due to
surface drainage problems in southeast Missouri soils.
In the second year of this project a study was developed to quantify soybean yield loss vis-a-vis ponded depth of surface water. The study was undertaken to compare variations in fields of yield and other plant parameters to topographic features, specifically low spots that cause surface ponding of water.
