The objectives of this project were: 1) to improve laboratory and field experiences in assessment, analysis, and management of soil spatial variability; and 2) to develop soil science classroom instruction that introduces important concepts of assessment of spatial variability in several soil science disciplines, including soil classification, soil physics, soil conservation, soil microbiology, and soil nutrient management. This project makes use of existing resources at the University of Missouri to enhance laboratory instruction including several on-going field sites, such as Sanborn Field, the "Soil Erosion-Productivity Plots" at the University South Farm, the Bradford Agronomy Research Center, and the ASEQ Centralia Research Location.
